ok, so this all revolves around the 3's... we have this structure on the almost x-wing on 3's in the image


this is a finned x-wing in which you can immediately eliminate the 3 in r8c7
because we associate these types of structures with fish we call the 3 in r9c9 a fin.

these fins can sometimes be extended as is the case in this puzzle and can be seen in the next image

another way to visualize this is to concentrate on the 3's in row 9, one of them must exist in that row
the following allows us to eliminate the 3's in r78c5

(3)r9c5 -                                                         (3)r78c5  x-wing portion
||                                                                                             
(3)r9c7 - (3)r6c7 = (3)r6c5 -                                     (3)r78c5  x-wing portion
||
