After basics:
Code: |
+----------------+--------------+---------------+
| 5 128 1278 | 478 9 6 | 1278 3 248 |
| 4 9 278 | 3 27 1 | 278 6 5 |
| 3 1268 12678 | 5 247 278 | 9 1278 248 |
+----------------+--------------+---------------+
| 9 5 68 | 2 367 37 | 4 78 1 |
| 2 7 4 | 1 8 9 | 3 5 6 |
| 1 68 3 | 47 467 5 | 278 278 9 |
+----------------+--------------+---------------+
| 6 12 9 | 78 127 278 | 5 4 3 |
| 7 4 5 | 9 123 23 | 6 128 28 |
| 8 3 12 | 6 5 4 | 12 9 7 |
+----------------+--------------+---------------+
|
Then I used the following chain: (2*-1)r9c7=[r9c3-(1=2@)r7c2 =r1c7]-(12@=8)r1c2-(8=2|7)r2c35-(27=8)r2c7-(2*8=7)r6c7-(7=8)r4c8-r4c3=r6c2 contradiction (i.e. 8r16c2) => r9c7 <> 2; stte.
I just noticed though that the chain would be a little cleaner if I had started with the assumption that r7c2 was a 2! |

Well done dongrave. I see what you mean about starting with r7c2(1=2)!
Can you bring me up to speed with what @ signifies in your Eureka ? |
