Is it a Wing? Is it a chain ? Is it an ALS xz ?

All of the above with a not quite symmetrical feel to it. 5's eliminated at r3c4 and r7c6.

Pincers/Wing-tips shown by *. Or two sets A&B with restricted common (x) = 8 and common candidate (z) is= 5. Elimination of either 5 solves the puzzle.

This from something I did in 2010 !

We use convenient handles to describe different Sudoku strategies but often it is a pattern or overlay all of which obtain the same result.
