I don't remember which, I either didn't notice the kite or thought it didn't eliminate enough. I used 9s also, starting with the Skyscraper in c37 plus a couple of transports. Looks more complicated than it actually was.

9r3c7-r8c7=r8c3-r6c3-r6c8=r4c9-r1c9=r1c12=>-9r3c12,r13c9

Actually, JC's looks to me more like a Skyscraper than Kite?

It is a Kite, they usually start in the same box and radiate perpendicularly as shown in the grid. Skyscrapers on the other end run parallel from the same house.

Clement, thanks, I was looking at the 9s in r89 which is why I thought Skyscraper. I was thrown off by the mention of r9c3
