Hi,

I am having trouble on today's puzzle. My grid looks like this:

8-- 925 34-
-25 --3 ---
39- -6- ---

--- 291 768
--9 376 4--
6-7 5-- ---

9-- 617 524
--- 432 89-
-4- 859 -73

Now I know r7c2 and r7c3 are each 3/8. But I get a hint from the solver saying r7c3 is 8. Why is this?
Hopefully my description and diagram are adequate here. I should note this is only my second puzzle so maybe I am out of my league here.

Thanks for any help,
Justin

Hi,
I think that this will help you:

8 in r5c2 and than 8 in r7c3 - both as Unique in Horizontal Line.

Another possibility is to attack another set of numbers. You have a fixed pair of 1,6 in r1c3 and r8c3.

That doesn't help you with the 3,8 situation, but it is another way to get the puzzle moving.
