The bi-cell r4c1/4=7 excludes 7 from r1c4 or 5 from r9c4 via r1c9=5.

xy-wing(78-5) with pincer transport: (5=8)r4c3-(8=7)r4c4-(7=5)r1c4-r1c6=r7c6; r7c3<>5

/SudoQ, I am unable to interpret your solution. A typo adds to my difficulty since the posted code solution does not have a 5 in r1c9.

Please offer more detail.

Hi Ted!

I mixed up the row and column. It should be: r9c1 = 5 ... Embarassed

I posted this because the same starting point gave two different single-step solutions:
Code:
r4c1=7 -> r9c1=5 ->
r4c4=7 -> r1c4=5 => r9c4<>5

and

r4c1=7 -> r9c1=5 -> r1c4=5
r4c4=7 ->        => r1c4<>7

X-Wing on 9 col 15; r9c4<>9 which opens a W-Wing 58 with SL 5 in col 1; r4c4<>8 and solves it.
