 # 59 eliminations remain

 |

There is a potential for 120 template combinations for <1> and <5>.

 	  | Code: | 	 		  Value Templates

  1  =    12

  2  =     4

  3  =     2

  4  =     3

  5  =    10

  6  =     6

  7  =     2

  8  =     8

  9  =     3

 |

However, there are only 22 combinations that don't involve conflicting intersections between templates. Of those, four combinations result in a UR-type DP (*).

 	  | Code: | 	 		  ...51.....1......5.5.....1.1.5..........5...1.....15.....1.5...5.1............15.

...51.....1......5.5.....1.5.1..........5...1.....15.....1.5...1.5............15.

                           * *                                 * *

....1.5.......51..15.......51...........5...1.....1.5...15.......51............15

....1.5.......51..15.......51...........5...1.....1.5...51.......15............15

                                                        **       **

 |

That leaves 18 combinations, and they have either a <1> or a <5> in r8c4.

 	  | Code: | 	 		  ....1.5...1...5....5....1..1.5..........5...1.....1.5...15.....5..1............15

....1.5...1...5....5....1..5.1..........5...1.....1.5...51.....1..5............15

...51.....1......5.5.....1.1.5..........5...1.....15....1..5...5..1...........15.

In particular, there are only two template combinations possible for <1> and <5> when r8c4=9.

   I can't help ... ... Nevertheless, I noted the strangeness of the sd grids while solving this puzzle!

Fortunately, there is an interpretation : a simplified version of Chris's solution on the Au site :

(9=18)r48c2-1r2c2=1r3c1-(1=89)r3c48 => -9r8c4

Thanks, Danny, for the good time !

Best Regards, JC. |

				A new wing for me

From my notes:

				Another solution in the same neighborhood:

 	  | Code: | 	 		  r9c3=9 -> r89c2<>9 -> r1c2<>3(=9) -> (r9c2=3)

    =4 ->                         => r9c2<>4 |

I don't know what type of wing this is...

				After that Danny stopped construct puzzles I use this forum to collect my morning entertainment. Sometimes the contributors of puzzles here publish them in a format which makes it possible to copy and paste them in the dailysudoko.com page. Sometimes not. Or are there other tricks to transform them to printeable pages?

Ideally, puzzles published here are done through Draw/Play so there's a link that goes directly to that format where you can click Print and proceed from there.

Puzzles without a link can be copied and pasted into Nataraj's format tool (use the 2nd version). That discussion can be found at:
