				| A little tricky-lots of cleanup after basics. All I could find was a 579 XY-Wing pivot r5c9 setting r1c7 and r6c9<>5. |

I too found the xy wing, but it didn't solve the puzzle for me. What am I missing? Here's what I have:

+-----------------+------------+---------------+

| 4567 467 5679 | 69 1 8 | 2379 3567 23 |

| 1569 169 8 | 2 3 7 | 4 56 59 |

| 2 3 679 | 469 46 5 | 8 167 179 |

+-------------------+------------+-------------- -+

| 1479 12479 279 | 5 247 6 | 379 1347 8 |

| 479 5 3 | 47 8 1 | 6 2 79 |

| 8 12467 267 | 3 247 9 | 57 147 157 |

+-------------------+------------+----------------+

| 37 8 4 | 1 57 23 | 2357 9 6 |

| 3679 2679 1 | 8 567 4 | 2357 357 23 |

| 3567 267 2567 | 67 9 23 | 1 8 4 |

				| After the xy-579, there is a triple in column 9 that gets rid of the 9 in row 2. |

				| Just in case julian's hint didn't point the way, the intersection of r2 with b1, among other things, sets r13c3<>9, revealing a quad in c3. |

True, but just to state it another way, after the wing removes the 5 from r6c9, there is just one 5 left in column 9. |
