Me too and I am confused.   . While bicycling too fast through the puzzle, I blindly fell into a tautological loophole that broke my rim. Mea culpa.
 
 
Here is a more conventional alternative 3-steps proof :
 
 
ER on 8 : 2-SIS (8)b2r7 : => -(8)r1c2
 
XWing on 3 : 2-SIS (3)c17  : => -(3)r2c8
