I initially took six steps to complete this puzzle since I overlooked a key move, but a second pass required only two.

Hmmmm. I'd stick with the first pass solution ... because I can't duplicate the second.

Danny, I could not duplicate the solution again either. I strongly suspect that I made an error during cleanup after the x-wing on 3. I believe the correct solution is:
x-wing3,
BUG+4 forces r7c2=2,
either coloring or a choice of kites on 1.

It works, but finding the specifics for the BUG+4 gave me a headache.

Thank you Danny for Oaxen version. If I now only could integrate the pencil marks when printing, I will be able to solve two puzzles in the time of one today.

Keith's original suggestion in your basics thread is still the best idea!!!
Since I manually create the links to the DailySudoku solver to load my puzzles, adding your version of each puzzle doubles my effort. I have no idea if it's of any help to others, and now it appears to be insufficient for you.
The second version of the puzzle ends today. |
