				| A skyscraper (3), OR an xyz-wing (357) will solve it a single step.

				| I saw the two Type 4 URs, so I played them, then finished it off with an XY-Wing (367). | |

				| I just did 2 allegedly VH puzzles during the first quarter of the Super Bowl. Granted, it's not a very exciting game. | |

at least the steelers scored more points than I gave them credit for.
I was thinking it was going to be a lot more boring than it has been. the INT for a TD was the play of the game.
but then again, how exciting are Steelers games? eh?

oh that's right, the game is only a format for all the advertising. because afterall, the media will make more news out of the commercials than the game.
the shame is when the game loses its viewers because the commercials are better to watch.

				| My husband and I are stuck on the Feb. 1 Very Hard. We could not find the XYZ wing that is supposed to be there.
We do have a 357 as a pivot, but can't remove anything with it.

Unless we are doing it wrong, I was under the impression that in the XYZ-Wing, the pivot and both of the pincers have to 'see' the Z to remove it. In other words for the XYZ wing to work properly- the pivot, one of the
pincers and the Z must be in the same block and the other pincer must be in the same row or column as the Pivot and the numbers that can be removed.

 Am I wrong?

XYZ and either XZ or YZ are in the same box and the other cell (XZ or YZ) is in the same row/column as the XYZ. Any "Z" that sees all three of XYZ-XZ-YZ is removed. The removed number is in the same box and same row-column as XYZ. It's possible that two numbers can be removed, but it's usually just one. Here's an example:
