It's Samgj's web site, so unless he really cares, I guess the rest of us should just grin and bear it.

Just in case you haven't noticed, there are a couple of other "users" who are doing more or less the same thing.

"cake547"
"spring925"
"mouth512"

There may have been others, but these are the only ones I've noticed. dcb

Hi David,

If we look only at the "5"s we could solved the Sudoku generated from the 3 names, and of course eliminate iPod.
Some call this technique "IIL" - "I"gnore the "I"diots and "L"augh.
Probable it's roots in from the "I I Sir" of the army, which I never understood for what it stands ... (was it a stutter soldier ?!)

see u,

Yeah -- sorry for the delay. I do eventually read everything, and delete these obviously bogus things. Feel free to mail or message me violations if they offend and I'm too slow to get to them.

(Sorry Alan -- I also accidentally deleted your complaint of this abuse).

Sam

It sounds like "I I Sir" but it is actually "Aye, aye Sir"
(pronounced exactly the same!)

The 'aye' is a regional/dialect word meaning "Yes".
It is used also in our parliament as in

"The 'ayes' have it" which means that more members of parliament
voted "Yes" than voted "No".

The physical layout of parliament is such that they do NOT have
electronic voting buttons but have actually to walk into a 'lobby'
within an eight-minute time period. The doors of the lobbies are
then locked (safety regulation in case of fire!) and then the number of
people physically in the room is counted. The two lobbies are called
the "Ayes" lobby and the "Noes" lobby. Sometimes members of
parliament find themselves in the wrong lobby ..............! (The latter
is another story).

This is quite irrelevant to Sudoku and so ought to be deleted - but is
given as a service to our friend from Stoiber country.
