Alternatively, there is a UR type 1 in r13c59<78> which implies r1c9=6, solving the puzzle. |

				| I used the same UR in C59 - but also needed an X-wing on 7s in C59. Though I'm never sure whether X wings count as an "advanced technique". |

Would you show the position where you needed it?

I wouldn't count them as a basic technique, i.e., if I needed an x-wing to solve a puzzle, I would say so in a solution. |

				| The Type 1 UR on 78 also did it for me. |

Re'born: I did the puzzle again, to get to the same state, and noticed that I had used an x-wing to establish the 7 in R2C3. I now see that I could have used an alternate technique - naked singles - given that R2C3 was the only 7 in Row 2. You could ask what kinda state was I in !! |

Very good. This means I probably didn't make a mistake when I solved it. There's nothing like finding out that you've made an insane leap in a puzzle, but lucked into a solution anyway. The only thing worse is when you aren't so lucky. |

I got to this point , Ignored the UR for a long time but used it since I could find no alternative "Hint" gives a 4 in box 7 but I couldn't see it, Neither can I find the XY wing - so I do not feel that I have really solved it since URs are for me - "When all else fails"!! |

Use the naked pair in column 5 to eliminate 8 from r79c5, then look for the xy-wing again. |
