Is the posting delay a new thing that is supposed to deter spammers or has it been there all this time and I never noticed before?

Just want to add that Keith, David and Sam do an excellent job of getting rid of the spam quickly. It's appreciated.

Tracy,

The posting delay is to prevent automated message posting. It is set to a fairly low number like 30 seconds. But, if you post a message, notice a mistake, make a quick correction, and resubmit, you may be blocked.

Tracy,

I checked the setting for successive postings. It is 120 seconds.

Actually, it was 30 secs but I upped it last night, because spam this week has been bad. There are various other anti-spam measures to try though, so hopefully it can come down again soon.

This is exactly how I noticed it. Guess I better get better at proof-reading before I submit. Thanks for the info.
