The Menneske super hard puzzles are rated, usually with a two digit number. I gather that the higher the number, the harder the puzzle. Can someone tell me exactly what that number represents?

No, Marty, I don't really get it either, despite reading it a couple of times. I have noticed that the numbers are merely correlated with difficulty (as most solvers would find I think), and the correlation seems quite low up to about 100 - e.g. a 25 might be much harder than a 75.

I read the FAQ, too. That's why I have no idea how the number is derived. I think the FAQ must be a translation from ancient Norwegian.
