I am so enjoying Helmut's VH (or Advanced) or 1sudoku.com's Evil on days that this site doesn't have a VH.

Helmut's VH 2018-07-09.

Of course I used my favorite method to solve this one with one step (i.e. a forcing chain w/ pincers on both ends! Thanks to Clement and Marty!)

Play this puzzle online at the Daily Sudoku site

When R2C3=7 Then R9C8=7 is true e false
7R2C3-(7R79C3)=7R9C2-7R9C8
and
(7-1)R2C3=1R1C1-1R8C1=1R8C8-(1=7)R9C8=>-7R2C3=>solution.
Ciao a Tutti
Paolo

Nice solutions! Thanks guys! Mine was as follows: (9=8)r8c7-r3c7=(8-3)r2c9=(3-9)r2c6=r2c8=>r8c8<>9. (Tell me if my Eureka notation has any errors!)

Thanks Clement! Finally, I think I've finally got the hang of it. Thanks for your help - and thanks to Marty for his help too!
