And just for the record, here's the 'Van Hay'-type solution. It looks like all three solutions listed here are using the exact same principle.
r9c9 is 1 or 9; if it's 1 then r9c6<>1 so r4c6=1 so r5c5=5;
if it's 9 then r5c9<>9 so r5c2=9 so r5c5=5; therefore r5c5=5.
My biggest problem now is that I can't seem to find these unless I know the solution - but I don't know the solution unless I'm able to find these. ugh. |
