				| I stared at this longer than any sane person should and couldn't make a dent. Finally I threw in the towel and solved it with four moves. | |

 Marty,

You have an unjustified opinion of the sanity of those who frequent these pages!

				| Hey Marty! You can't leave us hanging like that! What were your four moves? I'm guessing that they were some sort of forcing chains (maybe?) Thanks, Don. | |

				| Don,
No forcing chains (I don't use them). I've since thrown out the piece of paper, but as I recall there were three XY-Wings and perhaps coloring or XY-Chain.

				| Two XY wings? Hey Marty, are you sure you're not confusing this puzzle with the other one that Keith posted the same day titled 'From a book'? I think I was able to use the four steps that you described here to solve the other one (I think) - but not this one. I might be wrong. I looked at both of them for a long time - but I wasn't able to solve either! (ugh.) Hey Keith, you have to be more careful. You almost made my head explode! | |

				| Don, I since found the puzzle and it was two XY-Wings, coloring and an XY-Chain. I didn't do the one from the book. | |

				| Wow! I didn't see any of those in this puzzle! I guess I shouldn't be too surprised though. I think I'm sort of getting the hang of coloring but it's practically impossible for me to find those XY chains (even if someone tells me they're there)! | |
