This gave me a load of trouble. After a half-dozen moves all I could do was Medusa my way out of it.

I find one of these a year, which is a relief since there are only two days left!

A really twisted franken swordfish.

Note the strong links on 2 in R2, R8, C8. They make a cycle. Any cell that sees both cells labelled @, or #, or $ cannot be 2.

For the rest of the puzzle, I don't know. But, I may stay at a Holiday Inn Express tonight!

This puzzle has several extraneous eliminations. I was afraid they might create a lot of frustration.

JC: Thanks for the "Kite" reference to explain r1c4<>2 as an embedded elimination in the AIC.

The best description of my solver's solution for this puzzle? ... extraneous.

2X Sashimi X-Wing and a W-Wing.
