I guess I didn't notice the W-Wing, but an M-Wing on 36 did it. I also spotted an XY-Wing (236) which set up an easy BUG+2.

I tried to find a W-wing using the 36s in squares 2 and 8 - No Joy BUT
The four unfilled cells in col 4 have just 2 candidates in each. Therefore they are a chain. So substitute the 36 in square 8 for the one in sqaure 2 and we have another chain 62 29 93 36 whose two ends bear down on r5c5 denying it a 6 and solving the puzzle.

That's interesting. I assumed there was an xy-wing finish and gave up looking because I find those things tedious to find. So I checked the forum and saw W-wings, M-wings, Chains and a Bug+2. I didn't think the VH's required these more advanced techniques. Someone find an xy-wing - I'm too lazy.

Dan, that's exactly how I did it -- two xy-wings. Piece o' cake compared to Danny's puzzles recently!

There is a wing in boxes 5 and 8 that eliminates the 6 at r8c5.

Ema, please don't put yourself down! Just remember that learning new things as an adult is the best way to keep your brain in shape. At least that's what I tell myself!
