'---------------------'---------------------'---------------------'

got this one
notice the UR {5,8}, creates a strong inference on the 3 in r5c5 and the 6 in r6c5...
UR58[(6)r6c5 = (3)r5c5] - (3=1)r5c9 - (1)r6c9 = (1)r6c4; r6c4 <> 6
which breaks it.

Very nice chain Norm!

I used the same code in a less efficient manner plus two other steps to solve the puzzle.

ER3,
Type 2 UR58 to delete<36> from r5c1,
and a xy-wing356

I don't see a Type 2. But as a Type 4 with the strong link on 8, the 5s are removed, leaving a 368 triple in c5. Or looking at it as a Type 3, since one of the cells must be = 3 or 6, that creates a naked pair 36 with r9c5.

Marty, you are correct. It was a case of "fat thumbs"; I meant to say Type 3 which deletes <36> from r1c5. Sorry for any confusion this typo may have caused.
